Pulse profiles, intensity of the LPMF and frequency wobbling

If you choose INDIVIDUAL mode, you work with various frequencies, intensity and various pulse profiles. The sharp profile of the pulse (needle, triangle) acts in a stimulating way, while the other profiles (rounded, rectangular) act to counter pain or result in relief from spasms. It is good to know that wobbling of the frequency in 3-minute sequences induces a continuous effect, while wobbling pulse after pulse stimulates the body better.

Number of applications

It is generally known that magnetotherapy should be applied in various ways, depending on the particular case; this means that the duration of the therapy and the number of applications may vary. As standard, there are two application sessions per day; for more serious diseases, three or even more sessions a day are possible, while the recommended break is 6 hours.

The effect of the biological changes in tissue caused by a low-frequency pulse magnetic field may be used to treat various diseases. The effects can be summarised in 6 basic therapeutic groups and effects:

A brief description of the therapeutic effects of biomag magnetotherapy

Pain-killing (analgesic) effects: Due to magnetic induction, the therapy triggers the generation of an electric current in the nerve fibres, which disables painful pulses moving from the source of the pain via the spinal cord into the brain centres, and (along with some other mechanisms, e.g. enhanced endorphin production, suppression of inflammation and swelling as well as myorelaxation) results in relief from pain.
The stimulated endorphin production and regulation of calcium ions moving through the cell membrane contribute to vascular dilatation and the analgesic effect and also bring general relief.
The analgesic effect of magnetotherapy not only supports general ease but works well with sleeplessness and neuralgic pains; however, synchronisation of EEG records has been recorded.
After application of the therapy, the activity of the lactate-dehydrogenase in the exposed musculature has been shown to increase (this process inhibits the degradation of lactic acid, which irritates the nerve receptors and causes pain). Especially good results with BiomagR devices have been seen with painful radicular and pseudoradicular syndromes (sciatica, nerve oppression – various causes).

How to select and use the applicators

You should always select the type of applicator that best suits the particular therapeutic purposes from those available in the offer (see below). Place the selected applicator as close to the surface of the body as possible. Some applicators allow the applicator to be fixed to the part of the body with a flexible band. Most of the applicators can be fixed on the body with the FIX DUO aids. It is good to know that such a fixing element exists because if you position the applicator properly, you increase the efficiency of the application process (in the case of applicators-solenoids generating a spatial pulse magnetic field, it is sufficient if you just move the part of the body into the inner space of the solenoid). In order to make the best decision on which applicator should be applied, use the following criteria: the applicator should be positioned comfortably on the body, as close to the afflicted part as possible; you should consider whether you need to apply in-depth treatment (solenoid) or whether a flat applicator would serve the given purpose well.

The healing action of magnets has been known for several centuries. The word “magnet” is derived from the Greek town of Magnesia, where magnetic material – ferrous oxide in its natural form - was mined. Rumour has it (no evidence is available) that the Chinese knew and used magnets as long ago as 4500 B.C. In history, magnetic powder would be used for medical purposes, for example, in pills, enema or poultices. It was an ingredient in drinks believed to bring "eternal youth" etc. and poultices with magnetic powder worked very well with injuries, or after accidents, for headaches or for pains in the joints or back - or, in addition to this, with contused or swollen joints as well. Claudius, the Roman Emperor, was known for healing his gout in a bath full of "electric fish".

Harmful (strong) magnetic field

Living organisms react to the Earth´s magnetic field continuously; however, such reactions are not very intense. If we disturb the natural state of an organism using a strong magnetic field, it is quite obvious that the organism will respond to the stimulus with a strong reaction as well. When magnetism was first being explored, people believed that a strong magnetic field would cause no serious harm to the human body. However, as was proven later, people who have worked for some time exposed to strong artificial magnetic fields in factories (working with welding devices or electromagnetic furnaces) often suffer from pathological changes in their bodies, for example, peeling skin, permanently red skin, irregular heart rhythm, loss of appetite, lassitude, headaches and intensive sweating etc.
