Characteristics of ischaemic heart disease: Ischaemic heart disease is a condition resulting from an inadequate blood supply to certain areas of the heart muscle that causes coronary artery disease (usually atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries). A beating heart muscle suffers from a lack of oxygen. The condition leads to pain in the heart and reduced cardiac output with a range of whole-body effects. Acute myocardial infarction is an example of the acute form of ischaemic heart disease, while chronic forms include status post myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, multiple cardiac conduction disorders and heart rhythm disturbances. Improved myocardial perfusion and a sufficient supply of oxygen are essential requirements for the treatment of ischaemic heart disease.
Using magnetic therapy in ischaemic heart disease
